PILA Month day 19

Day 19 - a talent of yours.

I probably have a few running around. Singing? hmmm, nope that's not it. I sound so horrible I scare small children... okay not that bad. I have never made small children cry. Though I was once told "Jaimey, please don't sing" When I was singing in the car with my charges once. I think that might have been more about my hogging the song than my actual voice though. Either way.

Singing is NOT my talent.

Organization? Have you seen laundry mountain? Nuff said. It's actually HIGHer today.

Sewing! Yes, I think that is the one I want to claim. Here is this post, I just posted last night but wrote in April. ooops. Though I don't know if it's talent more than a passion and a genetic probability given my mom and grandma and many of my aunts sew.

I've been busy!

Because I have not been able to blog I have had more time to work on other things. And EVERYONE I know is pregnant or just had a baby so many of those things have been baby gifts.

Baby shower gifts!

I always prefer to give handmade gifts rather than store bought ones, when I can, especially for baby showers. It seems babies are in the water lately because I have had 3 baby showers in the last few weeks.

This is the outfit I made for Elle's baby girl, coming next Thursday.
I embroidered the onsie on my machine and made the skirt by hand out of minky and some fabric I happened to have that matched the embroidery. I also made her an organic bamboo velour blanket, it didn't photograph well because its just cream.

This blanket I made for my friend Erin, who is due next month (photos of her cute baby belly and shower to follow eventually). It is lime green minky and this amazing vintage fabric I got from my Grandma's stash. I love it! And its SO Erin.

These are 2 burp clothes I made for my friend Elizabeth, who is due in a month as well with a little boy named Frank. What goes better with "Frank" in my opinion than cowboys?! I love how they turned out.
