Day 19 - a talent of yours.
I probably have a few running around. Singing? hmmm, nope that's not it. I sound so horrible I scare small children... okay not that bad. I have never made small children cry. Though I was once told "Jaimey, please don't sing" When I was singing in the car with my charges once. I think that might have been more about my hogging the song than my actual voice though. Either way.
Singing is NOT my talent.
Organization? Have you seen laundry mountain? Nuff said. It's actually HIGHer today.
Sewing! Yes, I think that is the one I want to claim. Here is this post, I just posted last night but wrote in April. ooops. Though I don't know if it's talent more than a passion and a genetic probability given my mom and grandma and many of my aunts sew.

Happy serger once again!
See them tiny serger lines? Those make me happy. Can I tell you how much easier making G's underwear is when "my" serger is working?
These are the 4 pair I made this weekend.

And my little model. Thanks buddy. Someday you will hate these blog posts.
And I finished them just in time. I was telling my Fri kids' mom last Friday that I figured G would be 3 and the baby would be here before we had him potty trained. What is that thing my friend Gretchen says?
Oh right!
"Children will always make a liar out of you!"
Saturday morning G was about to poop in his diaper and I asked him if wanted to sit on the potty. He agreed! So we ran to the potty and he did his biz... a few times... and then asked for underwear. Yeah! He has been in them since. And mostly DRY!
Saturday he did great even going out to dinner and staying dry.
Sunday he stayed mostly dry (little bit of relief before we got to the potty) at OMSI.
Monday we went to a Harvest Festival and he had a 'miss' (I don't like the word accident so I try to use 'miss') but overall he held on tight and stayed dry! Yeah.
Today not a single miss!
Now if I could teach him how to get every drop out so we are not on the potty every 30 minutes.
I am so proud. Gotta love parenthood, excited about potty chairs and poop! Oh and happy fixed sergers!
Woo Hoo!

a stroller for my son
Not one day after telling a friend I had never seen a used doll stroller at a garage sale, that I was going to have to break down and buy a new one... I found one Saturday right down the street from my house. It was filthy and had "stains" I hoped would come out because to be honest they looked like baby poop. Eeew! But for a dollar I took a "risk". LOL.

So I cut off the cover washed it in hot and when I put it back on I installed snaps so it is easier to clean next time. I also reinforced the rip that was already in it. Many hours of good natured baby fun to come. :)

Aunerwares by Mommy!
I bought a pattern recently from Fishsticks Designs through the great coop I love- This End up.
I was so excited to get it in the mail I immediately cut out a few pair of undies for G from this great Ooga Booga fabric I had also gotten from TEU.

See! TEU is the best! She runs the best stuff for coops!
Well today I finally felt good enough to sew, or even had the urge... I am the laziest pregnant woman ever- I swear! And this is what I cranked out.

He loves them! And they are so cute on!
Honestly there is NOTHING cuter than baby buns in Underwear! I just want to bite him. :)
Luckily, he is fast!
I have never been taught how to use a pattern so when I do use one I feel like I am going in blind. I rarely use one. I just usually wing it. Oddly that is way more comfortable for me. I felt so awkward with the first pair it took FOREVER to put together, but the second pair came together very quickly.
On the next 4 pair... I already cut 4 fronts out of a cute monkey pair of jammies the G had when he was a baby that got a breast milk poo stain that refused to leave. I love re-purposing. And I loved those jammies. I can't wait to see them happy and in use again.

Loveydoodle Diapers galore!
I have been told recently that I am lagging on posts here and that I need to get on the ball. Well, I have a good reason. Zack recently closed his insurance agency (damn economy!) and now is not working. And neither am I. This makes for a bad situation. Well for us a worse situation. We already have issues from trying to open a new biz, so now its just getting ugly. Oh well, that is life I guess. Money- easy come easy go.But I digress. I have been busting my ars to get more diapers made so I can get them into a local store that is interested in consigning them. I told them I would bring them by on Saturday. So here I sit every evening and while Grayson naps sewing. And sewing and sewing some more. We have to get some money in, and I am hoping this will help in the mean time before one or both of us gets a job. Fingers crossed.
